Been to the Opera House

to see/listen to the "The White Album Concert" - how cool is that!!! It's the first time ever for Tim and I to have a chance to go the Opera House and we loved it. So thanks to my wonderful MIL & FIL for buying us the tickets for Christmas and for looking after the kids while we took ourselves off to Sydney for a wicked weekend.

The Opera House is amazing - nothing like I imagined to be on the inside - its huge and grand but all concrete and steel - I thought it would be "elegant" inside, but it isn't, it's amazing and wonderful, just not what I had expected.

The concert was excellent, great performers John Waters, Jon Stevens and Jack Jones, the musicians were just magical, the guitarists, the drummers, the pianist - WOW can they play music - LOVED IT.

We stayed at a swanky place in Manly and ferried across to the city and back again, Sydney I think is a magical place at night (don't go much on it during the day, but at night it's quite lovely).

I took my little Kodak camera to take some photos - but it spate the dummy and wouldn't work - typical - so no photos!!!

But I have been scrapping and here's one I did for a challenge at LSBS - you had to use something new and something old - I found some old MM heart charms (that I bought when I first started scrapping and probably still have 90% of them still unused), which I painted, a couple of jump rings and another old heart charm - and of course the new stuff is all the yummy MME papers and die-cuts and felt and rub-ons. The general LO idea is from an Elsie LO, but I loved the concept and the way it turned out. I've always loved this photo of Tim and I from years ago and I'm going to be doing another LO using the same photo soon - so stayed tuned.
